Through our Community Roots Day program, Wild Roots partners with local schools and nonprofit organizations making a positive impact throughout the San Lorenzo Valley and Santa Cruz Mountains.
5% of the day’s sales goes back to a local organization.

Selected organizations partner with Wild Roots for a designated Community Roots Day at our Felton or Boulder Creek location.
On that day:
5% of the participating store’s gross sales is donated to the selected organization.
The featured organization has an opportunity to connect directly with the Wild Roots community.
Customers can learn more about the organization, its work, and how to get involved.
Every purchase helps support a cause working to strengthen our local community.
how it works
We encourage schools and nonprofit organizations serving the San Lorenzo Valley and Santa Cruz Mountains to apply.
Community Roots Day is designed to support organizations whose work directly benefits our local community through education, outreach, environmental stewardship, health, social services, arts, youth programs, and other community-focused efforts.
Organizations may apply for a Community Roots Day once per year for a specific event or need.
What We Ask of Participating Organizations
Community Roots Day is also an opportunity to raise awareness for your organization.
If selected, participating organizations are asked to help spread the word by:
Sharing Community Roots Day through social media and tagging @wildrootsmarket
Including the event in newsletters or other community communications when available
Providing an educational display, demonstration, or activity at the participating Wild Roots location
Coordinating volunteers to be present during the event
Helping distribute information and promote the day within the local community
The more your organization helps spread the word, the more awareness we can build together — both for your cause and for the work you do locally.
